I read in a passage on the PSSA test that it's a bruise. You can get them from something as simple as wacking your hand on the corner of a desk! I also heard from some people that it means you're low on calcium, I'm not sure if that's true or not, though.
Hope this helps!White color growing in my nail?
It means your don't have enough calcium in your diet.. crazy i know. I had the same thing and thats what the Dr. Told me. Just drink more milk... simple as that

I need men.
that either means a lac of vitamin c, calcium and fish oils, meaning you can drink more milk to get ride of it, or take a vitimin c every morning and or you could buy there called fish mineral pills at a pharmacy to make them go away and i also heard that if you put almound oil or green tea nail treatment on the tops of your nails it will make them grow faster and improve there texture (includeing, white spots, bumps, and or softness of the nail bed...)
It shows that your body is lacking calcium.
Same problem with me but it'll get okay if you start drinking lots of milk or chew calcium tablets.
If it is just a spot of white, this usually indicates a zinc deficiency. It should grow out with the nail.
Its a calcium spot, nothing to worry about at all. If you find that it starts to hurt, or degrade, or find any changes in it at all it might be good to see a Nail Technician or Manicurist about it just in case. Just keep an eye on it, but its sounds like its just a small calcium spot caused by calcium build up under the nail. Harmless :)
That means your unhealthy, you need to eat better things.
(I would know, I had that problem also until I ate healthy stuff, then it went away)
if it looks like this it's a calcium spot;
