What color nails to wear with emerald green dress and gold heels?

would dark green be too matchy? would red look like christmas? how about dark navy blue? let me know your opinion :)





and what about lips, should i do a natural lip since im doing a brown/gold smokey eye

I would stay away from colored nails with such a vibrantly colored dress/shoe combination. You don't want to look too matchy, nor do you want to appear gaudy. A clean nail with nude gloss for shine would work best, or a classic french manicure. The natural tone of your nails will not offset the rich hues of your clothes, but instead compliment them.





Whenever sporting a smokey eye, it's best to pair it with nude lips (with possibly a light gloss only). Otherwise, you'll look far too done up, and again a bit gaudy.





When working with dramatic fashions/makeups, keep the pizazz to one item with makeup (your eyes) and at the most two with clothign (your dress and shoes). Less is more is always the best policy.
If you can find it, clear with gold speckles would be gorgeous, otherwise a shimmery gold.





As for your lips, a neutral color would be great...or be bold, I think either way would be beautiful! Be creative and try a few things with this...you'll see what looks best, or get an opinion from someone who can look :). Best of luck and have a blast!

1] nails - pinks, corals, peach, gold, or green [ navy will 'neutralize' the look ]


2] lips - pale pink, coral, peach, or a nude lip


3] be sure to add blush with smoky eye and light/pale lip!

Dark green would look cute... red would look christmas. But you could even do a dark shade of pink if that's the way you want to go, and that would avoid the Christmasy look. I personallywouldn'tt do navy. Pink or green...

OMG i wore the same thing for a dance, green emerald dress and gold heels!! Your nails should be a sheer white with golden sparkles it looks really cute. your lips should be a light stained pink (light) like in between nude and pink. Hopes this helps : )
I would go with a clean french manicure. That is chic and beautiful. As far as your lips, if you are playing up your eyes, yes you need to do something natural or neutral for you lips, something sheer and glossy.

It'll match your heels and eyes nicely and help tie the colours into the colour of the dress as it'll be directly next to the emerald green.
Go for a gold glitter or metallic nail varnish or a nice french manicure,
