any colors that are dark (black,dark brown, dark red) or brights (like electric vibrant colors) look best on short nails round or squared the should be short light colors like french manicures or light pinks could be either long or short
not too sure about the style of the nail but i know if you go to www.essie.com you'll find all the trendy colors for this summer

Bright shades in all colors! nail shape depends on your hand size and finger length. I think shorter is more in style now.

I believe now...it is bright colors and plus it is summer....so like as of now I have a bright lime green on my toes....and also neo colors...like and eletric blue and a hot pink ...bright orange bright colors....and I think trimmed adn round but that part is up to yu :)
