Right Nail Polish color?

I have black hair and light olive skin and I can never choose a right nail polish color to wear. Any nail polish that I ever buy is not right for me and always come out looking bad on my nails (which are semi-long, but I am in the process of growing them out.) I have a lot of nail polishes that I am never going to use. I write this question because I just bought another nail polish color and it came out looking really bad on me. Can anyone please help me? Natural, manicured nails are in. Top them off with a clear coat, non-chip polish.
pink, or bronze/gold shades will look great on you, i wear it all the time. or why not paint you're tips white and rest of you're nail light pink (french manicure) that suits everyone.
That's a pain. I have a bunch like that too. Test them before buying them. Most places have a piece of paper where you can test it. Or if you don't mind have multi-coloured nails for a little while, swipe some on your nail.





I've been buying a lot of O.P.I. nail polish lately and I really like what they do. All the places that I've been to that sells it has fake nails with the colour painted on them. So you can put the nail over your own and see what it would look like. It hasn't failed me yet.
Just stick with a french manicure.

well you can choose 2 colors that you like (something like red and pink or white and silver). then, first cover your nails with the darker color. second, use a toothpick to design a simple picture onto your nail (over the 1st layer). (at this time, make sure the 1st coating is dry) flowers and just dots work perfectly.


then, just try to match your clothes with your nails. trust me, you will look fine. add on some jewelry.


you can also always try some glitter on your nails.


even if you think it doesnt match, it doesnt mean everyone else will think that too.
U can choose any color that match with ur colths or u can go for freanch it's nice for every things .... but the point is on what r u going to wear... not in your hair or ur skin color

I always choose something way different. I like to go out of my comfort zone with nail colors. Try it!

i like light pink, but my style is very preppy so im not into the big pop out colors, but if you want something tat will pop i would go with cherry red

and brush ur hair with leave in conditioner while its wet and make sure u smell good... wear tighter clothes that show ur curves and dont make them sagg.. add a little eyeliner and clear gloss.. fix ur uneven skin tones with foundation and your good to go cuz they complement ur amazing eyes.. add layers and maybe carmel highlights with angeled bangs.. thats what i did... u have a gorgeuos smile.. remember keep it real!


Spice up ur wardrobe a little too..


1.add skinny or flare jeans~ not high waters


2. Wear shirts that look natural not as if somebody threw paintballs at you


3. Shop at AE, Hollister,Wet Seal, Deb, 5-7-9, and Abercrombie


4. do something nobody has every been corageous enough to do- a dress on a shirt or dress-shirt with leggings


5. Be bold and be heard


6. Accessories- either if its big braclets, chunky shoes, rings or neclaces, or huge shoes accesories make a huge difference


7. Hair- get a descent haircut with short choppy layers and side bangs


8. Makeup- u dont need much, just gloss, mascara, and foundation... dont cake it on just to cover up the blemishs and make it look natural


9. Stash the 'stache- yu have a lot of hair so [luck it or get it waxed

I like shimmery light pinks the best, and I prefer Sally Hansen New Lengths brand, which is available at Walmart for $2 to $3 per bottle. The brush is really nice, and the polish lasts a long time without chipping.???what is your favorite nail polish color???

Rimmel - Zircon its about 3 pounds I think and its lovely - like bronzey purpley greeny in different lights

how about either like a lot of people have said, french manicure or, use a light blue? or, theres this one color from avon i think, its called butterfly, its really pretty, its a purpley gold i know it dont sound pretty but its gorgeous! im liek really pale to and, i wear black nailpolish with a coat of pink over it, it looks really cool it looks liek well, its hard to explain but, try it sometime=-) if you dont liek it, then just take it off=-)

Glitter,, it comes in loads of coulors and always looks nice,, and its not really a coulor so you can wear it with anything,, its bright and most nail polish brands sell it so it wont be hard to find :D

my favorite polish whenever I don't want anything too dramatic is to stick with neutrals or pinks such as those when doing a french manicure. I like the brand essie and my favorite pink is called madamoiselle. It is sheer if you like just a tiny bit of color but if you use 2 coats, it is a baby soft pink color which is very nice for everyday use.





Try good quality polish brands such as Orly, OPI, essie, or something similar. I've noticed that using these brands tend to chip less, the colors are more vibrant, and seem to last longer too even if you skip the base and top coats.
OPI - oh to be 20 again!

I usually do black, red or pink. I'm not too much for colors like orange, yellow, brown, or white on my nails. Although white might be an exception if it has stripes or designs to go along with it (I love doing fancy things with my nails just for fun) =)
